Join Il Locale’s Italian pizzaiolo Leandro for a lesson on pizza making. He will share the secrets of the woodfired oven and the spinning of the dough. This is a ‘hands on’ workshop followed by a pizza lunch. Naturally, we will be sharing a glass of Italian wine from our friends at Red + White.

On a gluten free diet? Try our new range of Molino di Ferro Le Veneziane Spaghetti, Fettuccine and Penne Rigate made from Italian cornmeal. With a mild flavour this pasta is an easy dinner teamed with meatballs in napoli sauce from our Turbot range of food to go.

New Menu at Il Locale

Rosalie’s newest Italian restaurant, Il Locale, with an authentic wood fired pizza oven has started the year with a punchy new menu. The warm interior of the restaurant with its solid timber tables, coupled with authentic Italian rustic food makes this a very popular place for sharing a table with friends .

New to the menu with an unforgettable flavour and texture are the handmade gnocchi ripieni di ricotta e pecorino al tartufo (stuffed gnocchi with truffle ricotta & truffle pecorino), bistecca alla florentina (a cape grim tomahawk steak) along with arrosto di agnello (12 hour slow roasted lamb shoulder) are perfect share plates.

Primo e Pizza Evening

Grab a group of friends and share a relaxed and casual dinner of antipasto, pizza, pasta and cannoli at Il Locale, Our Italian Table at Rosalie.

What is a good Italian dinner without a great drop? The evening will be presented by Joseph Grilli and his team from Primo Estate wines, South Australia . Enjoy the new release of NV Primo Secco sparkling white and 2013 La Biondina Colombard with the antipasto .

The highlight of the evening will be a Italy vs Australia taste test as we pour two Primo Estate Shiraz Sangioveses - Il Briccone (made in McLaren Vale) and The Tuscan (made in Italy) - side by side for a unique comparative tasting. These two wines are the perfect accompaniment to our rustic pizza and pasta share dishes. Italian or Australian, which wine will you prefer?
