Il Locale is putting together a dinner on 28th April featuring some of the best wines and food from their four favourite Italian regions - Abruzzo, Marche, Puglia, and of course Tuscany. Gather family and friends on the long table as Il Locales' Italian chefs prepare a three course feast to share. You will be eating the Italian way starting with a creamy saffron and zucchini risotto. The main is a tender slow roasted lamb shoulder and jus with sides of crispy roast potatoes and crunchy red cabbage slaw. The ever popular  tiramisu is the sweet finish. Yum! Pasta 101 Workshop

Learn hands-on  how to make fresh pasta from scratch with Il Locale Italian head chef Dario.

Il Locale will be  passing on all the tips and techniques you need for making restaurant quality pasta at home. From fettuccine to ravioli, this is a fun filled morning making a variety of pastas and perfecting the art of kneading, cutting, rolling and filling. There will be recipes to take home for you to create your own delicious meals of fresh pastas and sauces. After your have made your pasta, Il Locale will package it up for you to enjoy at home. Following your morning of hard work, you will be rewarded for your efforts by sharing a lunch of handmade pasta from the kitchen of Il Locale with an accompanying glass of Italian wine. This workshop is an ideal way bring friends or corporate groups together in a fun environment, private workshops can be arranged by appointment from Wednesday-Saturday for a group of 10 people.

WOODFIRED SUCKLING PIG FEAST
For something spectacular you can indulge in the three course suckling pig feast with four matched Italian wines. Enjoy a starter of ricotta and taleggio tortellini with asparagus cream followed by woodfired whole baby suckling pig with italian herbs and jus served with sides of sautéed white cabbage & pancetta, roasted potatoes with mixed herbs and apple sauce. FESTA MENU FOR GROUPS
Their Festa menu for groups offers a choice between two 4 course packages. Designed to share in true Italian style, the Festa packages have some of their most popular dishes from the menu - baked marinated olives, woodfired margherita pizza, buckwheat gnocchetti with seasonal greens, pine nuts and salted ricotta. Both packages finish with house made cannoli filled with ricotta and chocolate chips. Children aren't forgotten with a choice of pasta and gelato for dessert. Il Locale Suckling Pig Feast

At Il Locale “it’s all about the pig”. They’ve designed a special winter feast around a woodfired whole suckling pig. Gather up family and friends to enjoy a delicious succulent whole baby suckling pig rubbed in Italian herbs and roasted over coals in our woodfired oven, carved at the table and shared Italian style as part of a three course menu. For the full experience, Il Locale has matched the perfect Italian wines to each dish. As a winter special, this feast is only available for July and August. You must order three days in advance and, of course, come hungry.

July Pizza Workshop

Il Locale is running another of their successful pizza workshops on Saturday 12 July. Their Italian pizzaiolo Leandro will share the secrets to the perfect pizza and cooking in a woodfired oven. This is a great way to start a cruisy weekend with a ‘hands on’ workshop followed by a pizza lunch. Naturally, we will be sharing a glass of Italian wine from our friends at Red + White.
