Who are Tognini's?

Tognini’s was conceived and created by entrepreneurs Mark and Narelle Tognini, a couple driven by their shared passion for good food, great style and entertaining. Mark drew his love of food from his Italian roots. His Sicilian mother and Northern Italian father taught him from a young age the importance of fresh produce and home cooking. Like most Italian families, food brought people together and was about sharing and entertaining. Narelle’s mother Beatrice was the inspiration behind her passion for food. Her two loves of home cooking and entertaining were passed on to Narelle and continue to be the driving force behind her passion today. 

In 1993, with two young girls in tow, Narelle and Mark decided to leave their respective careers as nurse and builder to start their dreams of owning a deli. Armed with their shared passion of food and entertaining, Tognini’s Deli Cafe in Milton was born! Twenty years on Tognini’s Deli Cafe is a Brisbane landmark of gourmet food and coffee, and continues to be well known for their extensive range of locally sourced and imported Italian products  - boasting one of Brisbane’s largest growing specialty cheese cabinets. Having become a name synonymous with excellent food, catering and coffee, the Tognini’s opened sister stores Tognini’s Trattoria in Spring Hill and Tognini’s Espresso on Hynes Street Fortitude Valley

Mark and Narelle’s passion for food continues to grow and they continue to be excited by fresh, innovative produce and creation. Who knows what will be their next venture!
